Day 1: ARRIVE GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (100 KMS / 3 HRS DRIVE)

- Drive to Shillong, stopping at Umiam Lake
- Check in to the hotel; evening at Police Bazaar

Day 2: SHILLONG SIGHTSEEING

Day 3: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJI (55 KMS / 2 HRS DRIVE)

- Thangkharang Park and Eco Park viewpoints over the Bangladesh plains

Day 4: NONGRIAT ROOT BRIDGE TREK
- Early start for the trek down to the double-decker living root bridge at Nongriat (about 3,500 steps each way; moderate fitness required)
- Swim in the natural pools at Rainbow Falls (optional, extra hike)
- Those not trekking can visit Arwah Cave and Wakaba Falls instead
- Overnight stay in Cherrapunji
Day 5: CHERRAPUNJI – MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI – SHILLONG
- Breakfast and check out
- Visit Mawlynnong, known as one of the cleanest villages in Asia, and the Riwai living root bridge
- Boat ride on the Umngot river at Dawki, near the Bangladesh border
- Drive back to Shillong
