Itinerary

Day 1: BENGALURU – BYLAKUPPE – MADIKERI (265 KMS / 6 HRS DRIVE)

  • Morning pick-up from Bengaluru and drive towards Kodagu
  • Stop at Bylakuppe, India's second-largest Tibetan settlement
  • Visit the Namdroling Monastery with its golden Buddha statues
  • Continue to Madikeri and check in to the hotel / homestay
  • Evening sunset view from Raja's Seat garden
  • Dinner and overnight stay

Day 2: MADIKERI – DUBARE – ABBEY FALLS

  • Early breakfast and drive to Dubare Elephant Camp (morning is the best time to watch the elephants being bathed in the Kaveri)
  • Optional river rafting at Dubare (seasonal)
  • Nisargadhama island with its bamboo groves and hanging bridge
  • Guided walk through a coffee and pepper plantation
  • Afternoon visit to Abbey Falls, Omkareshwara Temple and Madikeri Fort
  • Dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: MADIKERI – TALAKAVERI – BENGALURU (310 KMS)

  • Breakfast and check out
  • Drive to Bhagamandala, the sacred confluence of three rivers
  • Continue up to Talakaveri, the source of the Kaveri, with views over the Brahmagiri hills
  • Pick up Coorg coffee, honey and spices on the way
  • Drive back to Bengaluru — tour ends
