  • Kerala lies between the Arabian Sea in the West and the Western Ghats (Sahyadris) in the East with an area of 38863 sq km. It is one of the five states in the linguistic-cultural area known as South India
  • Cochin or Kochi as it is now called, is the commercial capital of the Southern Indian State of Kerala, is sometimes referred to as the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’. Cochin proudly boasts a rich cultural heritage but is one of the most fast-paced and modern cities in India.
  • Munnar is part of the Idukki district in Kerala. Anamudi, the highest peak in South India, with a height of 2,695 m is the pride of Munnar.
  • Thekkady is located 4 km away from Kumily, a plantation town in Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. The sanctuary is famous for its dense evergreen, semi-evergreen, moist deciduous forests and savanna grass lands. It is home to herds of elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri langurs.
  • Poovar is a coastal village situated in the southernmost part of Thiruvananthapuram and is the ending point of Kerala. The natural beauty of the beach and backwaters makes it a perfect place for a holiday. This is one of the less explored destinations of India.
  • Three curve-shaped beaches covered by coconut palms and speckled with a host of shops and shacks define Kovalam- Kerala’s most favoured and an internationally acclaimed beach destination. Day 1 ARRIVE TRIVANDRUM & TRANSFER TO POOVAR (35 KMS / 1 HR DRIVE)

  • Arrive Trivandrum airport
  • After collecting your baggage, meet your driver at arrival hall
  • Transfer to the hotel at Poovar
  • Arrive hotel and check in
  • After fresh n up, transfer to the nearby sea beach
  • In the evening, explore the local market on the beach road
  • Arrive back to hotel for dinner & overnight stay

Day 2AT POOVAR (EXCURSION TO KOVALAM)

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Depart for an excursion tour to Kovalam
  • Arrive back to hotel

Day 3POOVAR – VARKALA (VIA TRIVANDRUM - 60 KMS)

  • Check out and proceed to Varkala.
  • En route stop at Trivandrum for a small sightseeing – Pay a visit to the revered Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the earthly abode of the Lord Vishnu from which the town gets its name. Also explore the Napier Museum.
  • Later arrive Varkala and check in to hotel.
  • After fresh n up, depart for a local sightseeing tour. (Highlights – Anchuthengu Fort, Varkala Aquarium, Janardanaswamy Temple etc.)

Day 4VARKALA – KUMARAKOM (140 KMS / 4 HRS)

Day 5AT KUMARAKOM (CHECK IN LUXURY HOUSEBOAT)

  • Check out hotel & proceed to check in house boat
  • Welcome drink on check in, as the houseboat sails, you experience the emerald beauty of Kerala backwaters.
  • Lunch on board.
  • Post lunch, in the late afternoon, visit a nearby village. The wonderful views of lush paddy fields from your houseboat is spectacular. Enjoy the charming ambiance.
  • In the evening, the houseboat gets anchored for night at any of the nearby village
  • Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 6 KUMARAKOM (HOUSEBOAT) – THEKKADY (130 KMS / 3.5 HRS)

  • Breakfast on board
  • The houseboat cruise starts at 7.30 AM after breakfast. You shall reach the jetty dock by 9.00 AM.
  • Check out houseboat cruise and drive to Thekkady
  • Arrive Thekkady and check in hotel
  • After fresh n up, visit the elephant camp in Thekkady, here you get a chance to feed elephants, or do the elephant rides
  • Arrive back to the hotel in the evening for dinner & overnight stay

Day 7AT THEKKADY

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Visit Periyar lake & Pariyar National Park
  • Evening visit Kerala Ayurveda Museum & Spice Plantation
  • Arrive back to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 8THEKKADY – MUNNAR (100 KMS / 3.5 HRS)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Check out and drive to Munnar
  • Arrive Munnar and check in to hotel
  • Day free to relax till evening
  • In the evening, transfer to the cultural center to witness the Kathakali Dance Show and Kalaripayattu show
  • Arrive back to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 9AT MUNNAR

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Proceed for a local sightseeing tour of Munnar. The first stop is the Tea Museum, where you learn about the processing of the favorite brew of India.
  • Later, proceed to the beautiful Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake.
  • In the afternoon visit the Eravikulam National Park. The high attitude sanctuary is known for the Nilgiri Tahr and the Neelakurinji flowers that bloom once in 12 years.
  • Arrive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10MUNNAR – COCHIN (130 KMS / 4 HRS)

  • Breakfast at hotel
  • Check out and drive to Cochin
  • Arrive Cochin and check in to hotel
  • Day free to relax till evening
  • In the evening, enjoy the sunset, do not miss the mesmerizing view of the Chinese fishing nets.

Day 11COCHIN – ATHIRAPALLY (70 KMS / 2 HRS DRIVE)

Day 12 AT ATHIRAPALLY
